Hello! Welcome to third grade!
My name is Kelby Van Wyk, and I'm so excited to begin my second year of teaching at Madison Elementary here in Huron. Last year I taught third grade in Beresford, SD and decided third grade is where I need to stay.
I am from Alcester, SD which is where I lived, with my parents, for the past year and a half while student teaching in Alcester and my first year of teaching in Beresford. My parents farm north of town. I have two sisters, Kati and Kassie. Kati is married, her and her husband live on an acreage north of Huron with their baby, Weston and four dogs. Kassie is a junior at USD in Vermillion and is studying Human Resources.
I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Dakota Wesleyan University in May of 2015, and will graduate with my Master's from the University of South Dakota in Early Childhood Education this December.
In my free time I enjoy hanging out with my family and friends, being outdoors, and reading. I look forward to get to know each and every one of your students. :)
